LPG Tanker Fleet - Livery

Liquefied petroleum gas moves around Kenya on pressure tankers, and a tanker is a difficult object to brand. The surface is a cylinder, most of it is claimed by statutory hazard marking, and whatever is left has to identify the operator to a driver half a road away.

The Brief

Build one livery system that could be applied across an LPG haulage fleet running under more than one operator name, without any version compromising the regulated marking it has to carry.

The system treats the tank as three zones. Statutory marking owns the front third, the operator identity sits on the centre line where the cylinder is flattest and least distorting, and the tail carries a large graphic derived from the logo so the unit is identifiable from behind and at speed.

Key Deliverables

• A livery structure applied across three operator identities: Rihal Energy in teal and green, Kipal Energy in blue and green, and a unit carrying the Air Liquide mark.
• Operator wordmark and droplet device set on the tank centre line, sized to stay legible across the curvature.
• A gold pinstripe wrapping the full tank length, broken only by the logo, which gives the eye a horizon on an otherwise featureless white cylinder.
• An enlarged droplet graphic across the tank tail, in the operator colourway.
• Red LPG and DANGER lettering at the front of the tank, kept clear of all decoration.
• Placement for the hazard placards: UN substance panel, flammable-gas diamond, and the no-smoking and no-naked-flame plate.
• Production as cut vinyl transfers, applied on site to both trailer-only and tractor-trailer units.
