Hena Parilla is a barbecue and home-food establishment that celebrates the timeless art of fire-cooked cuisine. The founder’s vision was clear: create a brand that captures the warmth, authenticity, and full sensory experience of cooking over an open flame. Creativ Razor crafted an identity rooted in the primal appeal of fire and flavour.

The Brief

The client needed a logo design that would work across menus, storefront signage, food packaging, and social media. The mark had to evoke the warmth of a home kitchen combined with the excitement of open-flame cooking, appealing to food enthusiasts seeking an authentic, memorable dining experience.

The most powerful food brands tap into something primal — the gathering around a fire, the sharing of a meal, the stories told between bites.

We explored the rich intersection of traditional grill culture and contemporary food branding, sketching concepts that ranged from fully illustrative to purely typographic. The winning direction combined a hand-crafted wordmark with a subtle flame motif, grounding the brand firmly in authenticity while maintaining modern visual appeal.

Our Approach

Colour choices were guided by the palette of the grill itself — deep charcoal, warm amber, and the golden hue of perfectly seared meat. These colours translate powerfully across dark-background menus and bright social media posts alike, creating instant recognition in any context.

The Result

The Hena Parilla logo gave the establishment a memorable identity that customers connect with on a visceral level. Social media engagement increased significantly following the brand launch, with the distinctive logo becoming a recognizable and beloved symbol across the local food scene.
